My name is Catriona and I am based in the heart of the beautiful city of Edinburgh, in Scotland. 

I enjoy using different materials that may be broken, discarded or otherwise considered to be waste, and then using them to create something new and beautiful.

For example, I have recently been using old roof slates, shattered CDs, or even bits of old rust. I like seeing how the different shapes can fit alongside or complement each other. Sometimes it's the spaces between them that get interesting, and I love how it can often be a tiny fragment that just brings it all together.

It makes me think of people, and teams, and how everyone's contribution matters. Sometimes it may be a big piece that takes centre stage, but it still needs the backing players in order to deliver.   
 

And of course each and every one is completely unique, depending on what's available at any given moment, as well as my mood!
