'Madeira Rust' is a unique piece featuring a set of 4 individual pieces within a deep square black frame.
The rust pieces were retrived from the ground in Funchal, Madeira where there is some old machinery, originally manufactured in UK.
I was intrigued by the rich textures and colours of the metal which has been exposed to decades of salty, sea water. It may appear to be decayed, but I felt it was beautiful and wanted to give it a new lease of life.
Update: 'Madeira Rust' has now sold.
